Why GroupFairy

Hi, I'm Mac.

For Three Decades I have organised paper based 'Glasto Groups'. Running the group administration has always been a nightmare, a right Ball Ache. Do you think i enjoy having to read that 1am email, that random SMS with the critical update to keep everyones details up to date. Fuck That.

I've got better things to do with my time thanks. So, Finally I am unleashing my Organisational Powers to the larger than life GroupFairy.

There's 2.5 Million people every year that try to catch a ticket to attend the magical 220,000 in the Green fields of Worthy Farm. Those odds are quite off-putting until you really start to think about how you have to do this. With your friends...

So if you WANT to go to Glastonbury, you'd better start getting Strategic and Statistical about it, it's all about CHANCE isn't it.

No. It isn't. Not really.

I designed GroupFairy over a three decade / twenty year period of running a most successful 'friend booking groups' with pen, paper and eventually email, excel and text files.

Then one day, situationally I was in a place where I could bring my dream into life.

I'm surprised at how few people have registered for GroupFairy. But, I'm adult enough to know that's only because they don't know about it yet. So, I don't get offended when it isn't being used. They WILL get to know about it by next year, when the friends of friends that have grouped up can't stop talking about it.

You'll be glad of your early adoption because you will be almost unbeatable on the 'Hi Scores' board, where every contributor to GroupFairy will be awarded 'Karma Points' for anything they do which the GroupFairies deem to be for the greater good. And it will be an unlimitless ever increasing attribute.

Self Certify yourself

I can't be arsed to validate my own details

There is a very strong element of 'naming and shaming' that makes group selection a bit of a game, play well and you will be rewarded.

I'm not great at Marketing but I am VERY good at writing computer systems, and i like writing the messy ones that involve humans and systemic yet fuzzy logic, basically just organising us chimps to have a great time.

Peace 'n Love,

Mac
